Greenwood Good Practice Guide
- This guide
highlights innovative projects that have led to the development of the Greenwood
Community Forest. These examples illustrate the range of social, economic and
environmental projects that reflect the multi-purpose role of Greenwood in local
and regional development.
A Step Forward
-A pack of 12 walks in Ashfield, Mansfield and Newark & Sherwood for those
who may not wish to walk in a group. A Step Forward has been produced as part
of the Walking The Way To Health Project
using the same criteria as the Break Free packs. Each walk shows the surface
and gradient of paths, facilities available and location of stiles, gates and
steps. Certain sections of each route allow walkers to walk a little faster
in order to increase their heart rate.

accessible to all, graded by surface and gradient for people who may have difficulty
getting into the countryside. Winner of the Heart of England Tourist Board's

Community Tree Planting Grants
Easy to apply for grants of up to £200 for community groups who want to plant trees on their estate, school or other small plots of land in their community within Greenwood. Grants available from October to February. For other grants and resources available visit www.treeforall.org.uk
